“Was not their mistake once more bred of the life of slavery that they had been living?—a life which was always looking upon everything, except mankind, animate and inanimate—‘nature,’ as people used to call it—as one thing, and mankind as another, it was natural to people thinking in this way, that they should try to make ‘nature’ their slave, since they thought ‘nature’ was something outside them” — William Morris

Horny

So here's a brief example of why Horn is an ace producer.

In the epic "We Can Fly from Here" there are two big choral moments in which it becomes clear the band is singing about dying.

Other producers would have avoided it because of the skit with Christopher Walken on Saturday Night Live. But Horn goes straight to the symptom and PUTS A FUCKING COWBELL on top of the mix, a la "Don't Fear the Reaper."

Just to make sure you know that they know. Sincerity. Through irony. It adds this uneasy humor that is surely part of dying.
